Policies, privacy & insurance

Plain-language versions of how we handle payment, your information, and this website.

Insurance & payment

We accept all insurance plans. We don’t publish a list of carriers, because the carrier’s name tells you very little: the same insurer sells plans with very different annual maximums, waiting periods, frequency limits, and endodontic percentages. Call us with your plan information and we’ll go through it with you. Even the most generous plans we see still leave a copayment.

We will do everything possible to advocate with your insurer so that your out-of-pocket cost is as low as it can be and your plan contributes the most it will.

Provide your current insurance information when you schedule and we’ll present a written estimate of your benefits before treatment begins. Please bring a photo ID to your first visit; insurers require one before we can bill your plan.

Co-payments and out-of-pocket amounts are estimated and due at the time of service. We accept credit cards, debit cards, and HSA and FSA cards. CareCredit is available with a six-month interest-free payment plan.

What an estimate can and cannot promise

Healing is a biological process and no clinical outcome can be guaranteed. Published success rates describe groups of patients, not your individual tooth.

A written estimate is likewise not a guarantee of your final financial responsibility. We prepare one before treatment from what your insurer tells us at that moment, but what the plan actually pays can change for reasons outside our control — a plan that terminated before the date of service, or benefits used elsewhere after we verified them but before that claim was processed. If the final balance differs from the estimate, we will show you exactly why.

Office policies

Appointments and cancellations

We hold time for urgent cases every day, so a missed appointment is time another patient in pain could have used. Please give us as much notice as you can if you need to reschedule.

If you miss an appointment without letting us know, we ask for a one-time deposit when you next come in, before further treatment is booked. It is applied toward your treatment, not an extra charge.

Text messages and email

When you give us your mobile number, you consent to receive text messages from Endodontic Solutions about appointment confirmations, reminders, reschedules and delays, parking and directions, insurance and billing updates, copayment information, and links related to your care. Message frequency depends on your activity with us; most patients receive about six messages around a course of treatment. Message and data rates may apply; check with your mobile carrier.

Reply STOP to any message to opt out; you will receive one confirmation and no further texts. Reply HELP for help, or call (206) 633-3636 during business hours. We never send marketing texts, and your mobile number and SMS consent are not shared with any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes.

Nondiscrimination and accessibility

We treat every patient without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability. Our office is wheelchair accessible. If you need an accommodation for a disability, or would like to bring someone to help you communicate with us, tell us when you schedule so we can plan for it.

Your health information

We are a covered entity under HIPAA. Your medical and dental records are protected health information and are used only for your treatment, for coordinating care with your referring dentist, and for payment. Our full Notice of Privacy Practices is posted on this site and available at the front desk.

What this site collects

Browsing this site does not require an account and we don’t collect personal information unless you give it to us. If you call or email us, or register through our patient portal, we receive what you send. This site does not use advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or social media plug-ins.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful. This records aggregate information such as pages visited, approximate region, and device type. It does not identify you personally, and we do not combine it with your patient record.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies.

Third-party services

Patient registration and the patient portal are provided by our practice-management vendor and are governed by that vendor’s security practices and a Business Associate Agreement with us. Links to external sites, including parking and map providers, are provided for convenience and are governed by those sites' own policies.

What we don’t do

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or health information with third parties for their marketing. We do not use your information to advertise to you.

Consumer health data (Washington)

This website does not collect, share, or sell consumer health data as defined by Washington’s My Health My Data Act. Reading a page about a condition or treatment is not recorded against you. Health information you provide as a patient, including through our registration and portal vendor, is protected health information under HIPAA and is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices rather than this website policy.

Information, not medical advice

Everything on this site is general education about endodontic treatment. It is not a diagnosis, not a treatment plan, and not a substitute for being examined. Reading it does not create a doctor-patient relationship with Endodontic Solutions or any of our doctors. Clinical decisions depend on your specific history, examination, and imaging.

Emergencies

Do not rely on this website in an emergency. Call 911 or go straight to an emergency room such as Harborview if you have difficulty breathing or swallowing, uncontrolled bleeding, swelling spreading toward your eye or your neck, a fever with facial swelling, or an injury involving more than the teeth. Those need a hospital, not a dental office — do not wait to reach us first.

For a knocked-out tooth, a cracked tooth, or severe tooth pain without any of those symptoms, call us at (206) 633-3636 during office hours. Our dental trauma page covers what to do in the first few minutes.

Accuracy

We work to keep hours, doctor credentials, services, and policies current, but content may become out of date between reviews. Ratings and review counts reflect our Google Business Profile as of the date shown and change over time. If something here conflicts with what our office tells you directly, the office is correct.

Estimates and outcomes

Any cost figures or timelines described on this site are general and are not a quote. Written estimates are provided before treatment. No outcome is guaranteed; success rates describe populations, not individual cases.

Intellectual property

The text, photography, layout, and design of this site belong to Endodontic Solutions. Please do not reproduce or republish them without written permission. Patient reviews are quoted from public review platforms and reflect individual experiences that may not be typical. Third-party names and trademarks, including Biolase, WaterLase, topDentists, CareCredit, and Metropolis, belong to their respective owners and appear here for identification only.

Third-party links and services

Patient registration, the patient portal, and doctor and staff logins are operated by our practice-management vendor under a Business Associate Agreement. Links to parking, mapping, review, and other outside services are provided for convenience; we do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices.

Acceptable use

Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, access areas you are not authorized to use, scrape content at scale, or submit anyone else’s personal or health information through our forms.

Accessibility

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 AA. If any part of this site is difficult for you to use, contact us and we will provide the information another way and work to fix the barrier.

Liability and changes

To the extent permitted by Washington law, Endodontic Solutions is not liable for damages arising from use of this website. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. We may update them; the effective date above changes when we do, and continued use means you accept the revision.
