Dr. Carina Lea

"I love what I do. It may seem different, but since I was young I had always wanted to be an Endodontist so, it’s no accident I’m doing what I enjoy."

It gives me great pleasure to show patients how good the experience can be, especially when they have anxiety. I strive to be the best practitioner each day and I relish the challenge. I believe in continuous improvement of my treatment techniques, with novel methods, better materials, and newer technology. It’s how I know I am giving my patients the best care possible.

My goal is not just to offer my expertise; I want each patient to feel my devotion to them and their care. These procedures can be stressful, and it’s my role to guide them through this process. In fact, for many my role extends beyond completion of treatment: I support my patients through pain management or by coordinating the next steps with the primary dentist. I look forward to meeting you and ensuring your successful treatment!

Dr. Lea enjoys spending time with friends and family. She spends her time exploring Seattle, as she relocated from New York City where she owned a practice in the downtown TriBeCa neighborhood. She enjoys discovering and supporting new local restaurants and Washington wineries. Her interests include reading murder mysteries, learning any life or travel hack, and discovering new perfumes. She is an active member of the University of Pennsylvania Alumni and the James Beard Foundation.

"Endodontics incorporates many of the things that I’m passionate about in life: caring for people, solving problems, and working with my hands."

I know that most people don’t enjoy the idea of a root canal, but I strive to make the experience a pleasant one. It’s very important to me to keep my patients happy and comfortable, and to provide them with the best care possible. My goal is to provide treatment of the highest quality possible.

I love to study the science behind things, so I’ve made a commitment to continue to learn new techniques and ideas throughout my career. By insisting on excellence, I can give my patients a chance to maintain healthy, functioning teeth for a lifetime. I am excited for the opportunity to provide you with a great experience at the dentist!

DR. CALLIE SMITHSON

"I have dedicated the better part of my life to advancing my education in dentistry and endodontics so that I can be the best provider possible. It’s not just a job, it’s my passion.”

I take pride in my work and the time to deliver the highest quality of treatment. With an eye for detail, I endeavor for perfection attending to all teeth with the same level of care that I would want given if I were the patient.

Many people relate a root canal to a negative experience. I work to change their minds by using the latest technology and gentleness to ensure my patients are both comfortable and have a great treatment outcome. I empathize with dental anxiety and work with each patient as an individual to best address their needs. I can’t wait to show you how great a root canal can be!
